Greetings, and thank you for visiting.
My journey in music began at a very young age with the piano. I later attended the Summer Program for Youthful Musicians, where I was introduced to composing and audio engineering—launching a career spanning more than 40 years in writing, recording, producing, mixing, and mastering music.
I attended Texas Southern University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology with a minor in Music. Continuing my musical education, I studied film scoring at ThinkSpace Education through the University of Chichester in the United Kingdom, where I earned a Master of Arts degree in Orchestration for Film, Games and Television.
My work has expanded into composing music for film, television, documentaries, commercials, animation, and video games. My graduate studies culminated in the opportunity to compose original works recorded by The Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, including preparing professional scores, individual parts, and Pro Tools stems for the recording session.
Today, I continue combining decades of music production experience with the art of composing music to picture—using music to enhance emotion, strengthen storytelling, and bring visual stories to life.

D’Lorraine Jones is a composer, lyricist, music producer, and a retired Music Educator born in Houston, Texas. During her childhood, her family relocated to Inglewood, California, where she received her formal education and graduated from Inglewood High School. She later returned to Texas to attend Prairie View A&M University, where she earned the Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts degrees in Music Composition and Theory.
To finance her college education, D’Lorraine competed in beauty pageants, earning placements that helped support her tuition. During Summers in California, she expanded her professional experience as a studio musician, singing background vocals for various artists and later working at Warehouse Recording Studio as a background vocalist and instrumentalist when needed.
Her musical journey continued to a distinguished career as a
Music Educator/Specialist, a co-speaker and presenter for a Summer Music Institute in Houston where she incorporated music technology, Solfege, interdisciplinary learning and creative composition into her teaching. Her approach encouraged students to understand the fundamentals of music and also to think creatively and explore music beyond traditional boundaries. Along the way, she created student choirs, choruses, and percussion ensembles which performed for various district functions and Spring concerts.
Today, D’Lorraine continues that spirit of innovation as co-owner and co-producer of DAHI - Digital Audio Human Interactive, alongside her husband and creative partner. Through DAHI, she combines her experience as a composer, lyricist, educator, musician, and producer with emerging technology to develop original artists, songs, and multimedia projects while preserving the essential role of human creativity and musical expression. This journey represents a lifelong commitment to education, creativity, perseverance, and musical innovation connecting the foundations of traditional musicianship with the possibilities of an evolving tomorrow.
